Biography

Brooklyn born, Long Island bred, Stefon Bristol is an award-winning filmmaker who has made numerous films with some going to many film festivals. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA where he met and begged Spike Lee for an internship. Since then, Stefon has been pursuing his career as a filmmaker at NYU’s graduate film school where he made the film “The Bodega” which won a Cine Golden Eagle Award. Spike Lee selected Stefon to be a recipient of the 2016 Spike Lee Production Grant and the 2017 Reise Post-Production Award for his thesis short, “See You Yesterday.” Stefon also was awarded his MFA in Filmmaking in September 2016.
