Biography

Ana García Blaya studied Communication Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. She produced her first works in cinema and advertising as a production assistant, assistant director and editor. In 2008 she started attending several of the screenwriting workshops given by Pablo Solarz. At one of them, she wrote her first feature film, "Julia", which would later be called Las buenas intenciones (The Good Intentions). In 2015 she started to work as a screenwriter with Solarz and in 2017 won the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts Competition (ICAA) with the same screenplay. Las buenas intenciones, her directorial debut, won an award at Ventana Sur's Primer Corte in 2018.
