Biography

Born in 1959 in Bienne, Heidi Specogna studies at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. In 1990, she sets up her own production company, Specogna Films. She has made a dozen documentaries including Tupamaros (1997), An Age of Red Carnations (2004), The Short Life of José Antonio Gutierrez (2006) and The Goalgetter's Ship (2010), the last two of which are screened in Locarno.
