English This forgotten piece was created on the sets built for the famous film Lemonade Joe and, in hindsight, it seems to me that it was a sudden impulse without any long-term preparation behind it. It feels like a hastily cobbled-together attempt at a slapstick comedy in the style of old silent films, but the script and quality of the gags were not sufficiently developed, which becomes especially apparent in comparison to Lemonade Joe. It lacks a cohesive style, with successful silent passages alternating with attempts at verbal humor in the style of parodied advertisements. Jaroslav Štercl appears roughly in the final third of the film. Of the actors, Otto Šimánek is probably the most interesting, as a born mime he is at home in silent slapstick, and his scene where he succumbs to the temptation of playing cards is charming. Overall impression: 40%. ()
