This Collection takes us into the heart of scientific research in order to highlight its diversity and utility for society. The concept behind each episode highlights why each type of research is necessary today and what the stakes are for the future. The uniformity of the collection comes from a common structure for all films, inspired by the police investigation format. An anonymous investigator explores the places in which each type of research is carried out to meet the men and women who are at the cutting edge of their scientific domain. The aim is to explore knowledge as well as the scientific modes of research. The Collection has chosen to make scientific knowledge accessible to the average viewer. By showing and explaining in simple terms what is currently going on in research labs, the viewer will have more of a sense of being involved in the future of the planet.
