A superbly acted television play about unrequited love, deep-seated hatred, and years fueled by resentment, portrayed within a small space by four great actors. For the underutilized Klára Jerneková, it was one of the few opportunities to showcase her talent. It's a black-and-white affair clearly influenced by the style of Fráňa Šrámek and reminiscent, in acting and dialogue, of Silvery Wind. Overall impression 80%. A classic appreciated by connoisseurs of character acting. ()
