The battle between Das verliebte Hotel and The Blue Star Hotel ends up with The Blue Star Hotel being defeated by knockout! I personally choose two Atlantic hotels. This is because Karel Lamač's original with Anny Ondra, produced by Ondra-Lamač-Film, does not suffer from, among other things, odd gag themes and protectorate clichés in the style of casting the "comic" Nataša next to the "worldly" Adina. In this version, for example, it is logically explained why the main character acts and looks so crazy, namely in the opening storyline where she is employed in a circus. That's why there are the two feathers on the hat. Why Nataša has one feather after working as a dishwasher is not entirely clear to me... And that "Matrosenlied" is better than the ever-discussed "Sunflower"? There is no doubt about it. And Max Schreck? As in all his supporting roles with Ondra-Lamač, he had a small comic etude and left again. ()
