Biography
The daughter of acclaimed director Zaza Urushadze, Ana Urushadze attended Georgia’s Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University. Scary Mother, Ana Urushadze’s feature debut, was Georgia’s 2018 Best Foreign Language Oscar entry. The film’s many festival prizes include Best First Feature and Youth Jury Award at Locarno, Best Director at Gijón, Cineuropa Award and Heart of Sarajevo at Sarajevo, and the Grand Jury Prize at Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
