Biography
Michelle Latimer (Métis/Algonquin) is a Toronto-based filmmaker, programmer, actor, and activist. Her films include Choke (2011 Sundance Film Festival Short Filmmaking Award, honorable mention), The Underground, Nimmikaage, and the feature documentary Alias. Latimer is currently adapting the novel The Inconvenient Indian for screen, directing a documentary short for Field Of Vision, and showrunning RISE for Viceland. She programs for Hot Docs and the Dawson City International Short Film Festival.
