Having attended art courses in Jerusalem, New York and Amsterdam, Yael Bartana (1970, Kfar-Yehezke, Israel) specialises in directing films and installations. She has held numerous exhibitions all over the world. Known for questioning the collective Jewish identity of Israel, Bartana raises questions about the displacement of Jerusalem outside the Holy Land, which she accomplished in her short film, Inferno.
