He is a graduate in Communication Sciences from the University of Lima. His thesis film La Maldición de Ochoa, was awarded a prize from CONACINE in 1998. After working in the press and as a teacher, in 2000 he made his second short film Papapa, which was selected in many festivals and obtained several awards. He has also taken part in film workshops both in France and at the EICTV in Cuba. He also worked as a director of commercials. In 2004 he made a short film Los Herederos.
