Biography

Homayun Morowat (1965, Kabul) graduated from VGIK in 1988. His first short documentary movie "Dream" (1984) gained him the audience's attention in Afghanistan. His second short "The Golden Dream" was about a great Afghan poet Amir Jan Saboori. Morowat's debut feature, "The Green Coal" (1995) participated in numerous international film festivals, including MIFF. Morowat's next feature film, "An Apple from Paradise" was highly praised and gained multiple international awards. Homayun Morowat currently resides in Sweden.
