Denijal Hasanovic

Director and screenwriter, born in 1969 in Tuzla in the former Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina). He studied directing in Sarajevo. He moved to Poland in 1994 to continue his studies at the Lodz Film School. He graduated in 1999 and received the Polish Television Award for emerging filmmakers. He directed his first award-winning film, The Letter, in 2001. He was the scriptwriter and assistant director on Sławomir Fabicki's Retrieval. Catalina (2017) is his latest and long anticipated feature film.
