Biography
ISMAIL BASBETH (1985, Indonesia) studied Indonesian Traditional Music in Bandung before moving to Yogyakarta to study Communication Science. There Basbeth made his first short film, "Hide and Sleep" (2008). Several other shorts followed. He is the co-founder of the alternative production company "Hide Project Indonesia". In 2012, he was selected for the Berlinale Talent Campus. In 2013 he founded "BosanBerisik Lab", a creative laboratory which focuses on exploring the boundaries of cinema and its relations with other art form. Another Trip to the Moon is his feature debut.
