Biography

Pere Joan Ventura (Castellar del Vallès, 1946) was assistant director on a dozen or so films made by directors including Vicente Aranda and Pere Portabella; he was also one of the references of the underground movies shot in the 70s. He worked for Spanish television's TVE on programmes including Quien sabe dónde, Buscados con cargo and Los años vividos (Ondas Award 1992). With his feature film El efecto Iguazú he won the Best Documentary Goya in 2003. In 2004 he participated with the segment entitled "El mundo a cada rato" in the anthology feature film, Hay motivo.
