Biography
Born in Ahvaz, Iran, during the Iran-Iraq war, Sina Dena Ataeian started out making short animations and videos, with his animation Especially Music (2009) taking home Best Film at the Tehran Short Film Festival. His first feature, Paradise (2015), was shot over a 3-year period without official permission and is the first part of his Tehran trilogy on violence.
