Biography

Deni Bonet is an accomplished musician (instruments include violin, viola, accordion, ukulele) and vocalist. She has released four critically acclaimed CDs of her own music and is in constant demand as a guest musician on other peoples' CDs and shows. Her performances have earned enthusiastic reviews from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, and All Music Guide. She performs regularly at concert halls, arts centers, colleges and summer concert series throughout the US and overseas, and has toured and recorded with Cyndi Lauper, R.E.M., Sarah McLachlan, Robyn Hitchcock and many others. Deni's newest CD, "It's All Good", features Fred Schneider of the the B-52's, Peter Buck of R.E.M., Steve Holley of Paul McCartney & Wings, and many other notable musicians. She's played at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Saturday Night Live, and Conan O'Brien, and she recently performed at the United Nations as the featured instrumental soloist with the Appalachian Children's Choir. Deni also appeared as herself in the Jonathan Demme movie "Storefront Hitchcock". She has scored a number of movie soundtracks, including the 2012 award-winning Native American drama, "West of Thunder". Deni has been involved with the LifeBeat organization for the past 10 years, where she has played concerts in hospitals to HIV patients. She also has a registered Service Dog, and volunteers weekly at hospitals throughout the NYC area.
