Biography
Ruslan Fedotow began his career as a cinematographer. He graduated from the Academy of Arts and moved to Moscow, where he took a degree at the Moscow School of New Cinema in 2015. Since then, he started to experiment as a documentary filmmaker. His medium-length documentary film Salamanca, was premiered at the IDFA in 2015. It was followed by Songs for Kit in 2017. In addition to these films, he has worked as cinematographer for many documentary movies that have screened at festivals such as the LA Film Festival, Vision du Réel, Hot Docs, etc. Where Are We Headed? received the awards for Best Film Debut and Best Cinematography at IDFA.
