Biography

Digna Sinke graduated in directing from the Dutch Film & Television Academy in 1972. Since then, she has made a large number of documentaries and short films and several features, for which she often wrote her own scripts. In 1984, her first feature, The Silent Pacific, participated in the Competition of the Berlin Film Festival. Much of her work has been shown on Dutch television. In 2001 Sinke took over the production company SNG Film (Studio Nieuwe Gronden) from her late husband René Scholten. Since then she produced more than 30 films.
