Biography

Igor Ševčík (1951-2003), writer, director, animator and versatile artist, studied film at vocational schools in Bratislava and Čimelice. He worked at Jiří Trnka's Studio, at Krátký Film Praha studio as well at the Animated Film Studio in Zlin. He also worked for the Ministry of Culture and co-founded the Film School in Zlín. His short animated works include Siesta (1977), Evolution (Evoluce, 1981), The Hunter (Lovec, 1985), The Last Cigarette (Poslední cigareta, 1989) and AIDS (1990).
