Biography
Passionate about drawings and animation, he joined the École des Beaux-Arts where he met Sonia Gerbeaud, his artistic and life partner. In 2013, they directed their first short film together, Oripeaux, which has been selected in more than 130 festivals and received about 15 awards. In 2018, he was diagnosed with cancer. Sonia, Mathias’ brother and friends finished It Wasn’t Bourgogne in 2021.
