Contemporary and the most notable director from Sri Lanka. The complete retrospective is going to present visually very captivating works by this outstanding Asian director whose movies have been part of many key festivals all over the world (Cannes, Venice, and Toronto). This retrospective is a follow-up to the last year´s visit of the Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul and represents a festival effort to discover and show great Asian authors whose films create an antipole to the part consisting of unified European-American production.
