Biography
Journalist, playwright and script writer, with an Academy Award nomination for Edison, the Man (1940, Clarence Brown). Blacklisted by the House Committee on Un-American Activities in 1947, he fled to Mexico, where he continued to write under pseudonyms for Luis Buñuel and Robert Aldrich.
