Biography
Wilfred Jackson (1906–1988), an American animator, composer and director, gained renown for his substantial work in the making of the Mickey Mouse series (1929-36), Silly Symphonies (1929-39) and the film Fantasia (1940) from the workshop of the Walt Disney studio. Together with Clyde Geronimi and Hamilton Luske, he co-directed several successful feature films, e.g. Cinderella (1950), Peter Pan (1953) and Lady and the Tramp (1955).
