Biography
Martín Benchimol studied film at the University of Buenos Aires before going on to specialise in cinematography. He has co-directed two documentaries with Pablo Aparo, La gente del río (2012), premiered at DOK Leipzig, and El espanto (2017), winner of the IDFA Best Mid-Length Film Award. El castillo is his debut as a solo director.
