Biography

Director, screenwriter and producer, he is a member of the Board of Directors (Directing Specialty) of the Academia de Cine y de las Artes Audiovisuales and is a former president of ACCIÓN! In 2011, as producer, he received the Goya Award for Best Short Film for Una caja de botones by María Reyes Arias and in 2017 he won the Goya Award for Best Documentary Short Film for Cabezas Habladoras. He has directed the feature films, Aunque tú no lo sepas, Flores de Luna and A golpes, which have been screened at numerous festivals. He has also directed the short films Entrevías and Yo soy de mi barrio and produced Huntza and Campeones directed by Antonio Conesa, all of them nominated for Goya Awards. His feature-length creative documentary Quinqui Stars premiered at the Seminci.
