Ignacio Lasierra

Biography

Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (2007) and Doctor in Communication from the San Jorge University (2017). He is also studying a Master’s degree in fiction script for film and television from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and a Master’s degree in Film, Television and New Technologies from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid. He is a teacher and researcher at the San Jorge University, where he teaches subjects related to screenwriting, narrative and film direction. He is a professor of the Master’s Degree in Fiction Screenplay for Film and Television at the Pontifical University of Salamanca and the Master’s Degree in Film Script and Television Series at the URJC. He has written and directed several short films: La Granja (2011), Mi tío Ramón (2015), La Comulgante (2018) and Parresia (2021), with which he has received more than sixty awards at various international festivals. He has also worked as an assistant director in films such as Las Niñas (Pilar Palomero, 2020) and Miau (Ignacio Estaregui, 2017), in television series such as El Último Show (Álex Rodrigo, ATV, 2020) and in a large number of short films. Perseidas is his first feature film as a director.
