Biography

Russian-born writer and director that emigrated from St. Petesburg to Germany in 1966 as a Jewish quota refugee. She grew up in Berlin. She read Cultural Studies in Hildesheim, focusing on theater and photography, and film directing at the Babelsberg Film University in Postdam. He short film Weeping Willows was screened at various international festivals. In 2016, she was a member of the debut film jury at the Cottbus Eastern European Film Festival and in 2021 she was part of the ZFF Academy at the Zurich Film Festival. Natalia is a member of the network of Jewish artists "Dagesh". We Might As Well Be Dead is her debut feature.
