Biography
Elizabeth Mirzaei is an award-winning director and cinematographer. Her first feature film, Laila at the Bridge, won the F:ACT Award at CPH:DOX, was one of the top 20 audience favorites at Hot Docs, and was nominated for a Tim Hetherington Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest. Elizabeth Mirzaei lived in Afghanistan for many years where she directed films for Al Jazeera English among others.
