Biography
The artist and filmmaker, Advik Beni has directed the short films Eurythmia (2018), Nomvula (2019) and Jikele Maweni Ndiyahamba (Let’s Go to the Mines, 2021). His works have shown at festivals including Uppsala, Encounters and Edinburgh. In 2022 he received the Sundance Ignite Fellowship. He is the founder of the Sadarts foundation, a non-profit organisation which aims to raise awareness on mental health issues in the marginalised communities of South Africa.
