Biography

He studied acting and directing at the Teatro Español in Madrid and in William Layton Workshop, apart form working as an assistant director in several plays. In 1987 he moved to Los Angeles to study at the American Film Institute and at Sundance Film Institute. He directed three short films before he returned to Madrid when he worked as a director for several TV series. His filmography includes the films Mi hermano del alma (1993), Éxtasis (1996), Los lobos de Washington (1999), Kasbah (2000), a feature film for American cable television In the time of the butterflies (2002) and the episode El pasado que te espera for ¡Hay motivo! (2004). He is also a teacher of directing at the Official School of Cinema in Madrid and he also taught film in Havana for some years.
