Biography
Frieder Schlaich (1961) is a German screenwriter, director and producer. He studied visual communications at the Academy Fine Arts in Hamburg. He established himself with his feature-length debut film Halfmoon (Paul Bowles - Halbmond, 1995), for which he won many awards. His next film Otomo (1999) also gained acclaim. He works primarily in production activities in the area of documentaries and feature dramas. His latest directorial endeavor is the movie 'Cause I Have the Looks (Weil ich schöner bin, 2012).
