Biography
Maxim Pozdorovkin is an award-winning director and producer based in New York City. He is the director of three feature-length documentaries and numerous short films, including The Notorious Mr. Bout, Pussy Riot: a Punk Prayer, and Capital. Maxim holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University for a dissertation about early propaganda and was a junior fellow at Harvard's Society of Fellows. His documentary Clinica de Migrantes (HBO) was nominated for a 2016 IDA Documentary award. Next, Maxim is directing How To Rob Banks for Dummies, a hybrid documentary about cult video artist Joe Gibbons.
