Diego Galán

Spanish director, journalist, film critic, film historian, director of the San Sebastian festival in 1986-1989 and 1995-2000. Born in 1946 in Tangier (Morocco). He moved to Madrid in 1965 and started working as an assistant director. In 1968 he joined the film magazine Nuestro Cine, where he worked as a critic and editor, and then was hired by the newspaper El País. He directed his first short in 1973. He has also collaborated with Spanish television, making a few documentary series. He has also made highly valued documentaries on the history of film as well as writing many books about cinema. "Men Got Guts" is his latest film.
