Yellowjackets

The first two episodes hooked me and lured me into expecting great things, but over time that impression went way down due to how much they stretch things. The line with survival in the wilderness does hint at interesting things happening in the present, which is given more space, but it feels increasingly lost, where the first really interesting thing happens only in the last seconds of the last episode. That said, Christina Ricci deserves the highest praise; her psychopathic, angelic Misty is the clear driving force of the series. At the end of the season, I'm still interested to see how the girls in the woods will do with their cannibalistic games, but I'll probably watch the second season based on feedback. (01/20/2022)
