Let's Make a Mug Too is a pretty ordinary slice of life anime series about four girls and their pottery club. There is a classic collection of characters – one spirited girl who is as energetic as a Duracell bunny rabbit, then there is the reserved and talented club leader who is happy to give out advice, the main female protagonist who is just finding her feet and trying to gain some confidence in producing porcelain and ceramics, etc, and her friend who is more or less just in the background. There is nothing new under the sun in that respect, and the relative brevity of each episode (they are only about fifteen minutes long) makes it enjoyable and easy to digest, i.e. the episode is over before it starts getting boring. Let's Make a Mug Too is also a pretty good advertisement for one of Japan's prefectures and one of its cities, Tajimi. There are some interesting facts about what typically goes on in Tajimi and what it is known for, some new facts about porcelain and ceramics (and I do not mean the massive revelation that even toilet bowls are made of porcelain), plus they show some other weird things that could be made from it as well. In other words, I found this anime series interesting a few times, here and there. 6/10. ()
