What About Our Future?

This short documentary presents a group of teenagers from Vancouver, Canada, who are not indifferent to the future of the planet. They have set up a group to draw attention to the dangers of climate change. In response to climate strikes and the global youth movement, a student group called Sustainabiliteens was formed in Vancouver, Canada. The film presents an authentic behind-the-scenes look at them, taking viewers not only to organisational meetings where the young activists discuss their plans and prepare protests, but also to their homes where they talk to their parents about their feelings. It seems that age is irrelevant when it comes to activism – despite their inexperience, the students hold one of the largest demonstrations in Vancouver’s history and continue to put pressure on politicians to promote specific legal steps to ease the climate crisis.
