I was eagerly anticipating the second season after the gripping finale of the first, and I'm pleased to say it lived up to all my expectations. The battles in this season were some of the best I've seen in anime, particularly the ones without weapons. The drama was intense, especially in the portrayal of a family tragedy that felt raw and incredibly realistic, sending chills down my spine. The finale was nothing short of breathtaking, with well-chosen music enhancing every scene. The series showcased incredible creativity throughout, even in the ninth episode, which some may consider weaker. Personally, I found it to be a brilliant display of innovative storytelling techniques. I appreciated how the opening reflected the essence of the entire series. While one storyline reached a conclusion, the creators left two significant hooks that left me eagerly awaiting more episodes. They clearly know how to craft an engaging atmosphere and captivate viewers. While I initially felt the second season wasn't as strong as the first, particularly missing the multiple storylines, these were minor quibbles in the grand scheme of things. The almost perfect impression I have now after the last episode easily warrants a rating of 9.5/10. (09/22/2023)
