The rules of Survivor are simple: average Americans are abandoned in the middle of some of the most unforgiving places on earth. Survivor (2000)

English Yes, of course I enjoy it. Finally a reality show that’s worth something, that makes you feel enriched and properly engaged. Plus, the quality of the series doesn't drop off the way it does elsewhere. Part of it is the uniqueness and part of it is that each season has something new, a new story... ()

Marquesas (2002) (S04)

English This season was kind of average in my opinion. I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't disappointed either. There were some interesting contestants in it, but other than Rob, I'll probably forget most of them in time. The challenges were also some of the weaker ones. Favorite tribe: Maraamu. Most favorite: Rob, Sean. Least favorite: Sarah. ()

The Amazon (2003) (S06)

English The Amazon is original mainly because of dividing into boys and girls. You wouldn't believe what a little thing like that can do. The two sexes began behaving very differently. The contestants weren't really focused on the game because of this at first and it seemed more like a matchmaking show. But as time went on, the atmosphere thickened and it got pretty intense. Another season where nobody bothered me. Favorite tribe: none. Most favorite: Deena, Jenna. Least favorite: none. 4 stars. ()

Pearl Islands (2003) (S07)

English I'm not exactly thrilled with Pearl Islands. The challenges were terribly boring and uninteresting. Plus there were too many weak and simple contestants. Rupert was the only one who saved it. There was also a contestant who got on my nerves like no one in Survivor ever has. On the other hand, there were some interesting twists and rules. Favorite tribe: Drake. Most favorite: Rupert, Sandra, Christa. Least favorite: Jon. 2.5 stars. ()

Cook Islands (2006) (S13)

English I think I've liked this season the best so far. Not only have there been some pretty nice plot twists, but it's also made me laugh a lot. The challenges, especially the ones in the water, were excellent and often dramatic. And I am extremely happy with the winner, since he was a well-balanced individual who was all right in the head. Surprisingly, no one really bothered me to any extreme. Favorite tribe: Puka. Most favorite: Yul, Becky. Least favorite: none. 5 stars. ()

Tocantins (2009) (S18)

English The contestants in this series didn’t really appeal to me. There were a few exceptions, but compared to Redemption Island, which I had seen before this, I found it pretty uninspiring in that regard. Out of the entire season I enjoyed the first few episodes the most, when it still seemed like a big game. Also the finale was very nicely done, I would have guessed the winner differently at the beginning, but he deserved it. Favorite tribe: Timbira. Most favorite: Sierra. Least favorite: Debbie. 3.5 stars. ()

Redemption Island (2011) (S22)

English I enjoyed this season with its diverse cast of contestants. At least half of them had strong or at least interesting characters. On the other hand, I found the challenges and life there quite comfortable. No eating insects, no extreme conditions. Therefore, the contestants focused mainly on tactics, which of course a single person could handle with ease. Redemption Island was definitely varied. Favorite tribe: Ometepe. Most favorite: Rob, Matt, Andrea, Stephanie. Least favorite: Kristina. 4.5 stars. ()
