Reginald Denny stars as Oliver Keith, a lawyer whose romantic feelings for his secretary Ella Carey (Patricia Farr) are put on hold when he becomes embroiled in the murder mystery of an old friend's husband. The victim is Albert Sayre (John T. Murray), a wealthy antiques dealer who was known for being possessive of his young wife Julia (Dorothy Revier) - going so far as to have her spied on by a private investigator. Oliver comes to Julia's defense and digs up plenty of dirt in his investigation, including a tangled web of extortion, corruption, pilfered bonds, and an unexpected connection to a second unsolved murder.
