The film is overly long, which greatly detracts from its quality. It's not all bad, but your attention gradually wanes, to the point where you don't even fully enjoy the final showdown, which is otherwise interesting and thematically innovative. Unfortunately, as a whole, it's not well-executed, and at times you'll suffer rather than be entertained. Gregory Peck in an excellent but gradually dull role.
