Looking behind the headlines of one of the more entertaining pit bull news stories, A Little Vicious tells the story of a long controversy in Connecticut over the life of a dog called Bandit. A tragicomic American tale about people and dogs and race, the film follows the progress of an unusual stay of execution granted Bandit after months of canine death row. The people in A Little Vicious include Vicki Hearne, the writer and animal trainer who founded the American Pit Bull Terrier Defense Association and Literary Society; Lamon Redd, Bandit devoted 76-year-old owner; doglovers from the American Temperament Testing Society; and Franklin Intino, the Chief of Connecticut canine Control who identifies with Saint Francis.
