Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury - Season 2

The second season was one big crazy ride where the driver regularly stepped on the gas, constantly swerving and changing the direction. It was also like a roller coaster; each character literally had to hit rock bottom to be able to rise again and continue. Sometimes I wondered if the creators weren't going a bit overboard with the pace and all the dramatic plot twists. However, there was no time to waste because there wouldn't be another season, and everything had to be brought to a satisfying and grand conclusion, and the show succeeded in getting there. Of course, some parts may have been slightly half-baked; they needed a bit more time and space to work better for me, especially on an emotional level, but even so, the series presented its message in a powerful and logical way. I thoroughly enjoyed it all; the animation dazzled me, I fell in love with the music again, I followed each of the numerous characters with interest, and the finale was very well done, grand, but also likable. For me, the second season deserves five stars, albeit slightly weaker. I also realized that in the future, I should devote much more attention to Gundam than I have so far because the stories are much more than just "robots go boom." 8.6/10 (07/02/2023)
