Bleecker

Bleecker tells the intertwining stories of a motley of characters in NYC’s Village, where “Maya” has come to find her place in the world. Here she encounters: a longtime couple who bicker for affection; a lass who’s forever looking in the wrong places for love & her punk son & delusional mother (who thinks she’s Queen of Egypt). Plus, a hapless therapist, a rugby star & others who avoid dealing with what’s really gnawing at their souls: big questions without answers. Maya starts to care about these folks & really tries to help one of them in this brighter-than-bleak slice of life. (San Diego Film Festival)
