Ferite

Emanuele is a middle-aged theater director. He is looking for an actress who can play the part of the young protagonist of a monologue he intends to stage based on one of Dostoevsky’s unfinished novels. He lives a lonely life, hunted by the ghosts of his obsessions: the women whom he loved, and who left him forever. These women populate the photos covering the walls of a secret room inside his house. Alone in his house, he still has many women, whom he enchants every time they set their eyes upon him, just like the Pied Piper in the tale of the Brothers Grimm. Where are those young women now? Are they trapped in the photos projected on the walls of that secret room where, in a monastic silence, Emanuele venerates them, incapable of moving on? Or, perhaps, are they living their lives far away from him? (Independent Movie Productions)
