The first screen adventure for Benji, that oh-so-loveable mutt with an iron will and a heart of gold. Here, the mischievous pooch sets out to save two kidnapped kids -- and finds love with a fetching female canine along the way. Can Benji save the youngsters before it's too late? In the case of this movie, nostalgia simply wasn't enough. I was surprised by how many scenes there are where you just watch a dog going somewhere or running, accompanied by incredibly boring music that at least after a few minutes starts to become unpleasant. Otherwise, of course, it all ends very nicely, as expected. ()
