Returning to the family ranch in Sagebrush, Tim Reynolds is looking to make peace with his gruff father and to spend time with beautiful Molly. But shifty sheriff Tate Hurley wants Reynolds to get out of town. Hurley, who holds the mortgage note on the ranch, is afraid that Tim and his pals, Pat and Injun, will ride to his father's rescue and throw a giant lasso around the sheriff's plans to foreclose on the property. Hurley is even more enraged when Reynolds beats him at the local rodeo and manages to win back the note. When Tim, Pat and Injun go to the bank to claim the documents, they are accused of bank robbery. Now on the run, Reynolds must prove his innocence before Hurley's deadly posse finds him.
