András, the soldier lad leaving the army wants to take the world he parted with two years ago. He is having a difficult time: the factory, where he used to work, was modernised and he was replaced with someone else. The girl, whom he dated, is taken by another boy. He can only hope for Ági, whom he began to correspond with during his service. But upon their encounter it turns out that the tender letter writer was a grandmother. András is only mildly surprised when he has to share his rented room with another soldier boy for a month or so. He begins to let his hair grow, as the waitress who smiled at him wanted.
