The Snow Queen

One of the most beautiful fairy-tales written by Hans Christian Andersen.  The   adventurous journey of Gerda, who thanks to her courage, perseverance and love can overcome all obstacles to rescue her beloved Kay from the Snow Queen´s net. The cruel queen bewitched Kay and kidnapped him to a world without love. Only Gerda and her love can set him free. In order to help her nearest and dearest, Gerda will undergo anything, not knowing what awaits her. She experiences loneliness, confronts the bad king, escapes from highwaymen, and suffers frostbite. The tale of her journey is accompanied by impressive songs. As the storyteller says: “If our hearts are pure and warm, enemies cannot harm us.” (Fest Anča)
