English Pixar always knew what they were doing. Taking bugs and turning them into beloved characters... well, okay, Sekora or Karafiát already knew that. Perhaps Pixar also learned from them when they were making their second film, right after "Toy Story". Even in the world of insects, it's not a big joke, and life here is quite complicated, especially when you know that every year you will be attacked by grasshoppers who come to collect their tribute. Nowadays, it seems that the film no longer has anything to amaze or impress, but even for its time, it has excellent animation, as well as a great story, which may be a bit predictable, but just like in other Pixar films, it evokes all the emotions you could wish for - laughter, sadness, joy. "A Bug's Life" is a lovely film, enjoyable for both children and adults, but in today's world, with already having "Toy Story 3", "Finding Nemo", and "The Incredibles", it seems that this film has been a bit overshadowed. I'm not sure if rightfully so, but I probably won't be one of those who will defend it too much. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/07/prosime-pretocte-fimfarum-1-2-zivot.html ()

English Unlike Toy Story, I wasn't too impressed with A Bug's Life. The animation was nice except for the fact that the bugs had surprisingly few legs. I didn't find the story interesting at all, though. Some of the jokes were too infantile, which made it boring for me at times. Pixar didn’t score any points with me this time. ()
